GUITAR ACADEMY TERMS & CONDITIONS 2008: One-to-one tuition : Rhythm 'n' Blues Masterclass
 

Terms & Conditions 2008 - ONE-TO-ONE PRIVATE TUITION - WIGTOFT: -

Fees
- The fee for a Phase (or part thereof) of 12 (Phase One) / 13 (Phase Two) / 14 (Phase Three) lessons of 25-30 minutes duration each is £134.40 (Phase One) / £145.60 (Phase Two) / £156.80 (Phase Three).
- The fee for a Course (or part thereof) of 5 guitar lessons (to be taken during a 6 week period) of 25-30 minutes duration each is £67.50.
- The fee for one-off lessons will be charged at the rate of £30.00 per hour.
- All fees MUST be paid in advance of first lesson and are NON-REFUNDABLE.
- Tuition will NOT be provided if the appropriate fee has not been paid.
- Payment may be made by cash, cheque (made payable to Rock ‘n’ Roll Embassy) or direct transfer (please ask for our account details).

Bookings & Cancellations
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Embassy’s Guitar Academy Terms & Conditions must be signed before tuition can commence.
- Lessons must be booked with Faith by calling 07762 507 146.
- Upon booking, an agreed regular timeslot will be reserved for you/your child (e.g. Wednesdays at 6:30pm).
- Applicable to Phases only - Lessons not attended for any reason will be forfeit.
- Applicable to Courses only - You are entitled to one re-arrangement per course if you are unable to attend your scheduled lesson for any reason (holiday, illness etc) but, the course of 5 lessons must be taken within a 6 week period - i.e. if you are unable to attend your lesson in “week 3” you may rearrange it to “week 6” or at a mutually agreed alternative time, however if you are unable to attend lessons in “weeks 3 & 4” one lesson may be re-arranged and the other will be forfeit.
- It would be helpful to us if you could notify us (telephone/text/email) if you are unable to attend a lesson as we may be able to accommodate a re-arrangement for someone else.
- Should we need to cancel your lesson we will notify you as soon as possible.
- If you wish to continue your lessons after your current Course/Phase you must book your next Course/Phase (call/text/email Faith or inform your tutor) before the end of your current Course/Phase to ensure that your timeslot will be reserved for you. Otherwise on completion of your course your timeslot will become generally available to others on a first come first served basis.
- We reserve the right to discontinue your lessons at any time should we consider it appropriate.

Punctuality & Supervision
- Students must arrive and depart at the agreed time.
- Lesson time lost due to late arrival is forfeit. The full lesson fee is payable.
- One parent/guardian may attend their child’s lesson.
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Embassy are not able to provide a waiting-room facility at this time.

Study Material
- Students will be provided with study materials during their lessons and are expected to bring these with them to every lesson.
- It may be necessary to purchase certain recommended study materials/books to supplement Guitar Academy’s core curriculum.
- Materials supplied by Rock ‘n’ Roll Embassy’s Guitar Academy are subject to copyright law and must not be copied, lent or shared in any way.

Notes
- Parking is available on the driveway, at the side of the road just outside the house, in the lay-by just up the road or in the car park in front of the Golden Fleece public house.
- In most cases lessons run back-to-back so if the driveway is in use please consider parking on the road to enable the quickest possible change over.
- To make the most of your lesson have your guitar tuned and ready to go!
- Please notify us if any of your contact details change.
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Embassy reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any point.

Fees
- The fee for the course (10 x 2-hour weekly sessions) is £135.00.
- All fees MUST be paid in advance.
- Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Payment can be made by cash or cheque (made payable to Rock ‘n’ Roll Embassy).

Bookings & Cancellations
- This course is not suitable for beginners. Some experience of chord and scale playing essential. A free 15 minute assessment (at Wigtoft) is available on request if you are unsure of your current level. Call Faith on 07762 507 146 to book your assessment.
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Embassy’s Guitar Academy Terms & Conditions must be signed before tuition can commence.
- We reserve the right to alter, change, or cancel part of the course or the entire course at any time. Should we need to cancel the course we will notify you as soon as possible. Where possible we will offer students alternative arrangements. If the course does not commence a full refund will be offered. If the course is cancelled after commencement a pro-rata refund will be offered.
- We reserve the right to withdraw you from the course at any time should we consider it appropriate.

- The course will take place at Wigtoft Village Hall which is insured for Public Liability.
- Parking is available to the front of the venue, in the lay-by just up the road or in the car park in front of the Golden Fleece public house.
